About the Role
Friends For A_Dog Foundation keeps Andy’s legacy alive through art, music, and skateboarding programming and scholarships for local youth.
We’re looking for an experienced fundraiser who enjoys connecting with people and bringing support behind a meaningful cause. You’ll help raise the money that makes our programming possible and strengthens the systems and operations that keep the foundation running.
What You’ll Do
- Find and pursue opportunities for individual donations, corporate sponsorships, grants, and community fundraising.
- Work with the board to set fundraising goals and organize campaigns and events.
- Write fundraising materials, proposals, and donor outreach that tell our story clearly.
- Build relationships with donors and sponsors, keeping them informed and making sure they feel appreciated.
- Keep organized records of prospects, contributions, and progress, and share regular updates with the board.
What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience in fundraising, sales, grant writing, or community outreach.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with a knack for building relationships.
- Comfort asking for support and following through with potential donors.
- Initiative, reliability, and a connection to the foundation’s mission.
Time & Support
This is an unpaid volunteer role. Hours are to be determined, with flexibility around scheduling and availability for occasional meetings and fundraising activities.
You’ll work closely with the core board members communicating via Slack and virtual and/or in-person board meetings.
How Funds Will Be Used
This role works under the board’s direction and focuses on raising unrestricted funds. The board will decide how those funds can best support the foundation’s mission, including programming, internal systems, and operational needs.
