Friends For A_Dog Scholarship

 

DJ and turntablist Andy “A Dog” Williams, a B.F.A. graduate, was the epitome of generosity, positivity, and curiosity. His passion and innovation in music and art earned him recognition as a musical talent and cultural icon. 

The Friends For A Dog Foundation's mission is to keep Andy's legacy alive by encouraging the creation of art, music, and skateboard culture through grants, camps, and scholarships. The Foundation's scholarship is given in the hope that it will help the recipient gain knowledge and expertise, as well as keeping Andy's generosity and passions alive in the community he loved so much. This scholarship is awarded annually to a Senior graduate of Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans, VT.

Applicants for this $1000.00 scholarship will write a brief (500 words max.) essay in which they outline how their post-secondary education plans include studying music and/or the visual or performing arts as well as their intent to embody Andy's spirit of generosity and positivity in the community. 

The annual application deadline is April 30, Applications should be mailed to Jamie Bristol, at jbristol@maplerun.org
